Dimensões performativas do retrato judiciário: elaboração, receção e autonomia retórica

Resumo
Após uma sumária apresentação introdutória sobre a génese do retrato judiciário (frente/perfil) no século XIX, no contexto mais vasto do sistema de identificação criminal designado «bertilhonagem», a primeira parte deste artigo é dedicada à demonstração de uma série de características performativas deste tipo de fotografia, a diversos níveis, à luz de teorias recentes sobre o tema da performatividade. Na segunda parte do artigo é defendida a ideia de que, como constructo performativo, o retrato judiciário ganha enorme dimensão e importância, sobretudo por transvisualidade e «remediação» (Bolter & Grusin 2000), acabando por se autonomizar, como modelo retórico, nos media contemporâneos.
