The journal Diffractions is a national scientific journal with international circulation, peer reviewed, published biannually, owned and edited by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.


It is addressed to students, researchers, and other professionals in the area of Culture Studies, and its mission is to disseminate scientific knowledge produced in the area, with an impact on the production and sharing of scientific knowledge in the Culture Studies field.


It follows the Chicago Author-Date citation style guidelines (17th edition).


The journal was created with the aim of creating a space for postgraduate students to gain experience and grow as researchers, learning how to edit and publish, so it aims to be a space for growth, development, and scientific discussion.


The journal commits to comply with the Law no. 78/2015, of 29/07.
